John A. Thies, President of TRC

Mr. Thies has over 30 years  of experience managing and contributing to several large nuclear projects. He began his career in the U.S. Nuclear Navy and after receiving his B.S. in Engineering-Physics, he continued to work in the nuclear field, personally managing over 30 peer reviews and nuclear assessments for government and industry clients. He successfully ran Time Solutions Corp., a technical and management support services company serving both government and private sector clients, from 1996 to 2008, before founding TRC.

Mr. Thies’ experience spans a range of technical and management activities including nuclear safety, security and compliance; training; waste management; design, construction, and decommissioning; and spent fuel disposition. He has a successful history of completing projects on schedule and within budget. He has demonstrated success working with both management and technical staff on complex projects involving stringent quality assurance, tight budgets, multiple government and public interfaces, and aggressive schedules.
